加拉巴哥象龜、亞達伯拉象龜、蘇卡達象龜是世界三大陸龜，亞達伯拉象龜體型排第二，分布於非洲賽席爾的亞達伯拉群島。背甲較高呈圓形，強而有力的腿可以支持沉重的殼及身體，頸部很長可吃到離地面一米的樹葉。 清晨及傍晚覓食，氣溫高時會泡在水中調節體溫及消除寄生蟲。平均壽命被認為超過100歲，但是很難驗證，因為牠們往往活的比飼養者長久。 The Aldabra giant tortoise has high and round carapace (shell). The legs are strong and powerful to carry its heavy shell and body. People like to keep them as pets. But taking care of an animal with such rapid growth and large size requires a large space and facilities.
