斑馬有「查普曼斑馬」、「格利威斑馬」和「山斑馬」，分布於非洲大草原，是無領域性的日行性群居動物。以家庭為單位，遇到危險時會嘶叫警告同伴，或由首領指揮整群斑馬，屁股朝外圍繞成圓圈，猛踢後腳防禦。 查普曼班馬分布於衣索比亞南部到安哥拉中部及南非東部，身上的白色條紋看起來像被咖啡暈過，接近屁股的地方更明顯，斑紋一路延伸到腹部。 The black and white stripes on the Chapman's zebra are very special. Its entire body is covered by the stripes, including the abdomen. The feature of the leather is the white part looks like been stained with coffee, especially near the butt. Zebra express emotions with their ears, straight up when calm, forward when shocked, and backward when angry. They also puff when nervous and bark when seeing predators.
