壽山動物園

台灣長鬃山羊為台灣特有牛科動物，身體為深褐色，公母皆有一對洞角，呈圓錐狀，頂端尖銳且略向後曲，終生不脫落，清晨與黃昏是活動高峰。 生性敏感，不同於一般山羊，牠們喜歡單獨行動。有強烈的領域性，會將身上的分泌液塗在經常出沒的路線上標示地盤。因蹄有突出外側，可以輕易絆住岩石表面而行走自如，常出現於裸露岩石坍塌處和險峻陡峭山區。 Both sexes of Formosan serow bear horns. They are different from goats and sheep because they use tears to smear branches or stones in order to mark their territory and like to live alone. Walking on rock walls is easy for them. “ There is no way to catch the Formosan serow without good stamina and perseverance.” said by aboriginals who are good at hunting.
