Details
The Formosan sika deer has similar white spots to the plum blossom, which helps them stay hidden in the forest or underbrush. The body color is light brown in summer, and turns to dark brown in winter. When seeing danger, it will raise the tail and show up the white hair of the butt to warn their companions. Only the males have antlers, which they use to fight in the mating season.
